What should I do before contacting Wworkshop?
Before we can make a professional site for you, you must be prepared!  Have an idea of the kind of sites you like, and make a note of them.  Also remember that placement on many search engines depends greatly upon links.  Try to think of sites that will reciprocate links; the best ranking will come from sites with similar or complimentary information.

What do I need to do to get started?
Why will people come to your website?  This is the question you should ask yourself.  What makes you unique?  What information are they looking for?  If you can answer these questions, you will know what you need to do!

The following are some items you should gather for your site:

  • Your logo. If you don't have a logo, we can help you design one.  We can scan any logos or photos for you.
  • "About Us" information, which may include a history of your company.
  • If you are selling a product, you will need photos, descriptions, and prices for each.
  • Anything unique about your company is something you will want to include!

Do I have to put down a deposit?
Yes.  Wworkshop requires at least a $100 deposit that will be applied towards your total bill.

How long will it take before my website goes live?
This mostly depends upon you as the client.  Here is a general idea of the amount of time it takes:

  1. Send deposit and all content. (Note: We will not begin any work on your site until deposit and all content is received!)  This is usually the constraining time event, which means clients take a long time to send in all content!

  2. First mock-up will be finished and posted to the Internet on our server for you to view at or before one week from the date we receive deposit and content.

  3. You then respond within five business days via e-mail or telephone with any desired changes to mock-up, or respond with a final approval if no changes are desired.

  4. We are responsible to finish site two weeks or less after approval of mockup.  (time is subject to change depending on size of site.)

  5. Web site will be posted the same day full payment is received.

Basically, the shortest amount of time we've completed a website: 3 days.  The longest: 2 years.  The deciding factor is always the client.  Putting together meaningful content is tough.

  • If you need further help with this, refer to the section above "What do I need to get started"

How do I make updates to my site after it's completed?
Updates are as simple as sending an email to webmaster@Wworkshop.com!  You send us an email with the following information:

  • Your site name (www.Wworkshop.com for example)

  • The page with the desired update (Links.html for example)

  • The change (change www.firetowire.com to www.fire2wire.com)

Your changes will typically be made within the same week or sooner.  Updates are billed at $65/hour.

How much is this all going to cost?
Each site is different in content, size, etc.  For this reason, we always send a quote to our clients.  Before we begin building your site, you will receive a detailed quote, which you will be required to approve before any work is done.  Ballpark figures:

  • e-Business card (3 pages) runs under $400

  • Small site (5 to 25 pages) runs under $1000

  • Larger site with more features such as shopping cart, etc runs between $1000-$2000

  • Updates at $65/hour (after initial site is complete)

  • Domain hosting $35/year (This is your rights to own a name such as www.myname.com)

  • Web hosting $24.95/month (This is to keep your site up on our servers 24-7 for the whole Internet to access.)
